Following the unexpected popularity of some earlier development builds of Chromium for MacOS X, I decided to give these a dedicated page. These are (at least until a real UI becomes available) builds of TestShell, the tool used to test the Chrome rendering engine; there is no real userinterface, but the basic rendering engine works good enough to view websites and get an impression of where the browser is going.

For a current status of the Mac code, see the Mac status page on the Chromium wiki. The builds below are created using the instructions found here, with the only exception being that the default homepage has been changed to point to this page so you can easily see whether updated builds are available.

Older builds can be found over here. If you are looking for a more complete but slower version, I recommend trying the CrossOver port made by Codeweavers.

As you can see below, the rendering engine is working almost perfectly:
