I received some private messages as a response to this post about a CrossOver version of Chrome; apparently I’m not the only one interested in seeing Chrome run on the Mac. So I took the time to build the Chromium TestShell for MacOS X; it’s not a full-fledged browser yet, but it’s built from the current source tree and it’s the same version used by the engineers at Google (and all other external contributors!) to test early versions of this browser.

Being a test shell, it doesn’t include any menus or other graphical tools, but it contains an address bar to enter URL’s and it renders pages. What more could you ask for in a browser? Here is a disk image containing the app: Download TestShell_4733.dmg Update: Chrome builds can now be found on this page.
