Remember that DNS bug that’s been known for about a month? And remember me writing about updates that were available from all major suppliers of DNS servers? Well, that’s no good if your OS doesn’t have a fixed version, is it?

For once, you don’t hear any apple fans screaming about how bad Microsoft is at security. Microsoft had the fix available for download almost immediately; Apple was apparently too busy with their MobileMe problems. Anyway, now those problems are fixed, they finally released the necessary update for MacOS. Happy downloading! Oh, and rebooting too… Whatever happened to all those Unix-advantages Apple users are supposed to get?

UPDATE: The ISC reports that the DNS server may have been updated, but the client libraries are still out of date. NCircle also reports this issue for the 10.4 update.
